About the job:

We are not looking for everyone, we are looking for you who has a genuine interest in cooking and is passionate about the profession! We are now seeking staff for assignments in restaurants, preschools, and schools in Uppsala and Gävle.

As a kitchen assistant in schools and preschools, your main tasks will include:

• Assisting with cooking and preparations, salad buffet, and plating of food.

• Preparing the dining room for serving, serving food, and tidying up after serving.

• Washing dishes and cleaning.

• Participating in the work with self-control.

Who are you?

• We are looking for someone who wants to work in staffing and enjoys working in different environments, seeing it as a fun challenge not to have a fixed place to work every day.

• You easily grasp new instructions, have a good ability to collaborate, and are not afraid to take initiative in a new workplace.

• You are curious, hardworking, and solution-oriented.

• You are self-sufficient but have no problem working in a team.

• Since you often change workplaces, it is important that you have high social competence, are responsible, organized, and flexible.

• You speak and understand Swedish fluently – this means you should be able to comprehend and communicate information and instructions both verbally and in writing.

• You have at least one year of documented experience working in either a large kitchen or a school kitchen.

• You must present a diploma for completed training in food hygiene/HACCP.

• A valid extract from the criminal record for work in schools and preschools.

• It is advantageous but not required if you also have some form of education from a hotel and restaurant school or a vocational training in kitchen or as a meal assistant.
